Adam Golden, Paralegal


Adam graduated from Northumbria University with a first-class degree in Quantity Surveying, graduating top of the department and winning every graduate award available, an unprecedented achievement. He has since graduated from the Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course LLM with high commendation.

In addition to being a Chartered Quantity Surveyor and Chartered Construction Manager, Adam has built up years of legal experience. Having worked for a broad range of organisations including government, contractors, consultants and law firms in addition to having held a key role within an in-house legal department, Adam has developed a unique and holistic viewpoint in relation to legal matters.

He has developed a wide range of expertise covering areas such as adjudication, consultancy agreements, collateral warranties, vesting certificates, standard forms of contract (NEC, JCT, FIDIC and IChemE), procurement, commercial management, governance and risk management. He has also has experience in mediation, appointing subject matter experts and has lectured on areas such as building information modelling and innovation management at UCL and the ICE.  

Adam has won numerous awards within the industry including the International Ethics Standard Coalition Award and RICS Research Trust Award in addition to prizes for construction law and investment discipline.

Adam joined Thea Ltd in 2019 as a paralegal, assisting with both contentious and non-contentious construction and engineering law, bringing a wealth of both legal and commercial management experience.
